HS Urban Couture Foundation is a humanitarian organization dedicated to uplifting vulnerable children, orphans, and underserved communities throughout East Africa. Founded on the belief that every life has value and potential, we work tirelessly to break cycles of poverty through education, healthcare, sustainable development, and compassionate care.

Operating in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda, we partner with local communities to identify their most pressing needs and co-create solutions that last. From feeding programs and medical outreaches to school sponsorships and clean water initiatives, our work is holistic, sustainable, and driven by love for humanity.

Meet the visionary leaders who founded HS Urban Couture Foundation

Founder

Dr. Hannah Mwangi

Co-Founder & Executive Director

With over 15 years of experience in international development and public health, Dr. Mwangi founded HS Urban Couture Foundation after witnessing firsthand the devastating impact of poverty on children during her medical missions across East Africa. Her vision for holistic, community-driven transformation drives every program we implement.

A public health physician by training, Dr. Mwangi holds a Master's in Global Health from Johns Hopkins University and has published research on sustainable development in post-conflict regions. She believes that true empowerment happens when communities own their solutions.

Samuel Ochieng

Co-Founder & Director of Operations

Samuel's journey from street child to social entrepreneur fuels his passion for vulnerable youth. After being sponsored through school himself, he dedicated his life to paying it forward. With expertise in nonprofit management and community organizing, he oversees all field operations across our four countries of service.

Samuel holds an MBA in Social Enterprise from Strathmore Business School and has received multiple awards for his innovative approaches to youth empowerment. He frequently speaks at international conferences on sustainable humanitarian models.
